In late January and early March, the Rule of Law Collaborative (ROLC) held two symposia as part of a JUSTRAC+ virtual Symposium Series on Transnational Organized Crime, Rule of Law, and Corruption, in order to help the USG Justice Reform workforce better address the self-obscuring, mutually-reinforcing threats of corruption and transnational organized crime.
Yesterday, ROLC held the third symposium in the series, titled A Toolkit for Countering Corruption-Enabled Transnational Organized Crime. At this event, the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative introduced a toolkit that focuses on corruption-enabled transnational organized crime and includes an introductory video, a Practice Note, and accompanying Annexes. The Practice Note explores the multifaceted challenge of corruption-enabled transnational organized crime and includes practical guidance for practitioners and USG program officers seeking to combat corruption-enabled transnational crime.
